Smile for the camera

Then again, sometimes it is that easy. What can I say? He's funny.

They don't all turn out

I get asked occasionally how we take so many good pictures. The answer is all of the following:

  1. We have a smiley, photogenic kid. Zach makes it easy.

  2. We have a small "point and shoot" camera that we keep handy to get as many of the passing moments as we can.

  3. The camera shoots digital so we take a lot of pictures and only post the good ones.

  4. Finally, as you can see below, not every picture we take turns out well. Sometimes Zach just doesn't want to participate.

Going for a ride

Just goofing around a little in our backyard.

Notice Zach's nice red crocs.

Norristown Mom

http://www.norristownmom.com

I found this site a little while back. It's a great compilation of kids stuff in the Philadelphia area, primarily the Northwestern suburbs where we happen to live. Over the summer, you'll likely see us visiting some of the attractions mentioned on the site.

Just in case you were wondering, Zach still devours cupcakes.

Road Rash

While playing outside at daycare, Zach tripped and did a number on his face.

Don't worry. Within a few days he was already looking and feeling better.

Feeding the Fish

Zach's grandparents have a decent sized koi pond in their spacious and scenic backyard. We spent the end of a lazy weekend feeding the koi, picking weeds in The Garden of Weedin', and running up and down the big hill.

The Pear

What is Zach crying about?

Melissa would let him eat her pear. And when she would, it wasn't fast enough.

We continue to inch closer and closer to Zach eating regular foods all the time.

More on Zach's crazy hair in another post.

Art projects

Now that Melissa is home with Zach two days a week, she's got Zach doing a little art project at least once a week. I only have pictures of him using crayons, but he also enjoys finger paints, markers, and, his latest favorite, stamps.

The Straw

Zach got a bunch of toys for Easter.

What did he like playing with the best?

The straw in my cup from McDonalds.

Easter

I'm months behind, but the outfit deserves a nod. As you can see, Zach got into Easter a little more this year.

Zach Is Back

Since the last post, Zach has pursued his love of music and become an introspective rock star (who apparently does laundry).

I'm kidding of course, but he does look a little scary in that picture juxtaposed with some folded whites.

After a year and a half of blogging, I'm seeing a trend. The Zach Blog takes a month off whenever we get busy running around or working around the house. I'd like to post more consistently, but I think that trend is a more honest expectation.

At the moment, I have pictures dating back to Easter that need the be shared. Stay tuned.

Tell 'em Zach.
