Our Little Reader
In his spare time (which is really all the time), Zach enjoys reading discount shopping booklets. Followed by a little cat harassment.
In all seriousness, Zach has reached the point where he walks over to you with a book from his bin wanting you to read it to him. He also sits on you by backing up in an exaggerated, and so far unphotographed, way.

Couch Forts
Zach's new thing is to play in our couch cushions. He likes it when you make them into a fort and then to play peek-a-boo from behind the cushions.

Last Month
In the past month, Zach..
.. spent a lot of time playing in the living room.
.. continued playing with his food.
.. got all ready for game day.
* This also doubles as his ten month picture.
.. practiced standing and walking along furniture.
.. left a lot of hand prints on the sliding glass doors.
.. started wearing hats again.
.. got a new car to ride on and push around the house.
.. continued to harass the cat.
.. figured out how to work a sippy cup.
.. scored a sweet playset.
Like I said, it was a busy month. I was pleasantly surprised we took this many pictures.

Mobile
There's been a drop off in posts because over the past few weeks Zach has rapidly become more mobile. He went from army crawling in the video to crawling on all fours in a little over a week. If you put him down now, you really have to watch him. Turn your back and he's across the room getting into something.
When we haven't been watching Zach, we've been baby proofing the house. The lower cabinets all have child locks and the baby gates are up at Casa Del Merce Collegeville. Zach and Izzy even had a little standoff the other morning at the top of the basement steps.

Kitty Is Doomed
An update of sorts on Izzy and Zach.
When Izzy enters the same room Zach immediately starts intently watching him. If the cat comes within 3 feet of him, Zach starts smiling, laughing, and reaching.

For his part, Izzy tries to strategically position himself somewhere he can watch Zach but where the baby won't notice, or even better, can't see him. Izzy still doesn't quite know what to think of Zach.
This won't last. As soon as Zach can move, Zach's going to be after Izzy every time he sees him.
